Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

Job / Jb 22:2

Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

Mahasoa an' Andriamanitra va ny olona? Tsia, fa mahasoa ny tenany ihany ny olon-kendry.

Mety hanasoa an' Andriamanitra va ny olombelona? Manasoa ny tenany ihany ny olon-kendry.

Un homme peut-il être utile à Dieu, quand un être sensé n' est utile qu'à soi ?

Job / Jb 22:3

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?

Mampaninona ny Tsitoha moa, raha marina ianao, sa misy tombony ho Azy, raha ataonao tsy misy diso ny alehanao?

Mampaninona ny Tsitoha, raha marina hianao? Inona no azony, raha tsy misy diso ny lalanao?

Shaddaï est-il intéressé par ta justice, tire-t-il profit de ta conduite intègre ?

Job / Jb 22:4

Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?

Moa ny fahatahoranao Azy va no ananarany anao, sy ifanatrehany aminao amin' ny fitsarana?

Noho ny fitiavanao vavaka va no amaizany anao, sy ifandaharany aminao amin' ny fitsarana?

Serait-ce à cause de ta piété qu' il te corrige et qu' il entre en jugement avec toi ?

Job / Jb 22:5

Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?

Tsy be va ny faharatsianao, sady tsy hita isa ny helokao?

Tsy mihoa-pampana va ny haratsianao, ary tsy hita isa ny fahadisoanao?

N' est-ce pas plutôt pour ta grande méchanceté, pour tes fautes illimitées ?

Job / Jb 22:6

For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.

Fa efa naka tsatòka tsy ahoan-tsy ahoana tamin' ny rahalahinao ianao ka nanendaka ny akanjon' ny mahantra.

Efa naka tsatoka tsy ahoan-tsy ahoana tamin' ny rahalahinao hianao, efa nanendaka ny lamban' ny mihanjaka hianao.

Tu as exigé de tes frères des gages injustifiés, dépouillé de leurs vêtements ceux qui sont nus;

Job / Jb 22:7

Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

Tsy nanome rano hosotroin' ny mangetaheta ianao sady tsy nahafoy hanina ho an' ny noana.

Ny olona reraky ny hetaheta tsy nomenao rano; ny noana, tsy nahafoizanao hanina.

omis de désaltérer l' homme assoiffé et refusé le pain à l' affamé;

But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.

Fa ny olona sandriana ihany no nanana ny tany; Ary ny manan-kaja ihany no nitoetra teo.

Fa an' ny sandry matanjaka ny tany, ary izay manam-piaro no miorim-ponenana eo.

livré la terre à un homme de main, pour que s' y installe le favori;

Job / Jb 22:9

Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

Efa nampialainao maina ny mpitondratena. Ary tapahina ny sandrin' ny kamboty.

Ny mpitondratena nampodinao maina ary tapaka ny sandrin' ny kamboty.

renvoyé les veuves les mains vides et broyé le bras des orphelins.

Job / Jb 22:10

Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;

Koa noho izany dia misy fandrika manodidina anao, ary ny fahatahorana dia mampihorohoro anao tampoka;

Izany no mahavoahodidim-pandrika anao, ka indro hianao tabatabain' ny horohoro tampoka,

Voilà pourquoi des filets t' enveloppent et des frayeurs soudaines t'épouvantent.

Job / Jb 22:11

Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

Moa tsy ianao va ny maizina Sy ny rano mandriaka mandifotra anao?

safotr' aizina, tsy mahita, ary difotry ny rano mangeniheny.

La lumière s' est assombrie, tu n' y vois plus et la masse des eaux te submerge.

Job / Jb 22:12

Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Tsy avo tahaka ny lanitra va Andriamanitra? Jereo ny hahavon' ny kintana, endrey ny hahavony!

Tsy any an-tampon' ny lanitra va Andriamanitra? Jereo ange ny handrin' ny kintana: akory ity hahavony!

Dieu n' est-il pas au plus haut des cieux ? Vois comme est haute la voûte des étoiles!

Job / Jb 22:13

And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

Nefa hoy ianao: Ataon' Andriamanitra ahoana no fahafantatra? Mahay mitsara ary ankoatry ny rahona maizina va Izy?

Ka hoy hianao: Inona no fantatr' Andriamanitra amin' izany? Hahay mamantatra ny an-koatry ny rahona matevina va izy?

Et tu as dit : " Que connaît Dieu ? Peut-il juger à travers la nuée sombre ?

Job / Jb 22:14

Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

Ny rahona matevina manakona Azy, ka tsy mahita Izy; Ary mandehandeha eny amin' ny lanitra Izy.

Manjary sarona eo anatrehany ny rahona ka tsy mahita izy, fa any amin' ny lanitra boribory any foana no mandehandeha.

Les nuages sont pour lui un voile opaque et il circule au pourtour des cieux. "

Job / Jb 22:15

Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?

Moa hizotra amin' ny lalana izay nalehan' ny olona fahagola va ianao? Dia ilay nalehan' ny olona ratsy fanahy.

Mbola tohizanao harahina va ny lalana fahagola izay nodiavin' ny olona mpanao ratsy fahizany,

Veux-tu donc suivre la route antique que foulèrent les hommes pervers ?

Job / Jb 22:16

Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

Izay nesorina alohan' ny androny, ka nindaosin' ny riaka ny fanorenany,

ka nalaina talohan' ny andro voafetra, ary nindaosin' ny riaka ny fanorenany?

Ils furent enlevés avant le temps et un fleuve noya leurs fondations.

Job / Jb 22:17

Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

Dia ireo izay manao tamin' Andriamanitra hoe: Mialà aminay! Ary inona no azon' ny Tsitoha atao ho anay?

Fa hoy izy tamin' Andriamanitra: "Miala aminay hianao! Fa inona moa no hain' ny Tsitoha hatao aminay".

Car ils disaient à Dieu : " Éloigne-toi de nous! Que peut nous faire Shaddaï ? "

Job / Jb 22:18

Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Kanefa Izy no efa nameno zava-tsoa ny tranony ho lavitra ahy anie ny fisainan' ny ratsy fanahy!

Kanefa izy no nameno harena ny tranony. - Lavitra ahy anie, ny fisainan' ny ratsy fanahy! -

Et lui comblait de biens leurs maisons, tout en étant tenu à l'écart du conseil des méchants!

Job / Jb 22:19

The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.

Ny marina mahita ka mifaly, Ary ny tsy manan-tsiny mihomehy ireny hoe:

Mahita ny fianjeran' ireny ny marina, ka mifaly, ary mihomehy azy ny tsy manan-tsiny:

A ce spectacle, les justes se sont réjouis et l' homme intègre s' est moqué d' eux :

Job / Jb 22:20

Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

Marina tokoa fa efa rava ny fahavalontsika, ary ny hareny betsaka efa levon' ny afo.

Indro efa rava ny fahavalontsika! efa levon' ny afo ny hareny!

" Comme ils ont été supprimés, nos adversaires! et quel feu a dévoré leur abondance! "

Job / Jb 22:21

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

Mifankazara amin' ny Tsitoha ianao, dia hiadana; Izany no hahatongavan' ny soa aminao.

Koa mihavana amin' Andriamanitra, dia mionona hianao, fa izany no hiverenan' ny fiadanana aminao.

Allons! Réconcilie-toi avec lui et fais la paix : ainsi ton bonheur te sera rendu.

Job / Jb 22:22

Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.

Masìna ianao, mandraisa fampianarana avy amin' ny vavany, ary alatsaho ao am-ponao ny teniny.

Raiso avy amin' ny vavany ny fampianarana ary alatsaho ao am-ponao ny teniny.

Recueille de sa bouche la doctrine et place ses paroles dans ton coeur.

Job / Jb 22:23

If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

Raha miverina aminy ianao, dia haorina tsara, eny, raha ampanalavirinao ny lainao ny heloka.

Ho tafarina hianao, raha miverina amin' ny Tsitoha, sy manesotra ny heloka lavitra ny lainao.

Si tu reviens à Shaddaï en humilié, si tu éloignes de ta tente l' injustice,

Job / Jb 22:24

Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

Ario eny amin' ny vovoka ny akoram-bolamena sy ny akoram-bolafotsy, eny, ario eny amin' ny vato eny an-dohasahan-driaka ny volamena avy any Ofira;

Ario eny amin' ny vovoka ny anja-bolamena, ary eny amin' ny korontam-bato eny an-dohasahan-driaka, ny volamenan' i Ofira.

si tu déposes ton or sur la poussière, l' Ophir parmi les cailloux du torrent,

Job / Jb 22:25

Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.

Fa ny Tsitoha no ho akoram-bolamenanao sy akoram-bolafotsinao, Ary ho volafotsy mamirapiratra ho anao.

Fa ny Tsitoha no ho volamenanao, sy ho volafotsy miavosa ho anao.

Shaddaï sera pour toi des lingots d' or et de l' argent en monceaux.

Job / Jb 22:26

For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Fa amin' izany dia hiravoravo amin' ny Tsitoha ianao ka hanandratra ny tavanao amin' Andriamanitra.

Amin' izay dia ny Tsitoha no hankamaminao, izy koa no hanandratanao ny tananao.

Alors tu feras de Shaddaï tes délices et tu lèveras vers Dieu ta face.

Job / Jb 22:27

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

Raha mifona aminy ianao, dia hihaino anao Izy; Ary ny voadinao dia hefainao.

Hivavaka aminy hianao dia hohenoiny, ka hoefainao ny voadinao.

Tes prières, il les exaucera et tu pourras acquitter tes voeux.

Job / Jb 22:28

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Ary raha misy kasainao hatao, dia hotanterahina aminao, ary hamirapiratra amin' ny lalanao ny mazava.

Raha misy fikasanao hataonao, dia ho tanteraka, ary ny lalanao hamirapiratam-pahazavana.

Toutes tes entreprises réussiront et sur ta route brillera la lumière.

Job / Jb 22:29

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

Raha misy mietry, dia hataonao hoe: Misandrata; fa ny manetry tena hovonjeny.

Ireo mavozo handrina hilazanao hoe: Miandrandra, dia hovonjen' Andriamanitra izay mietry fijery.

Car il abaisse l' entreprise orgueilleuse, mais il sauve celui qui a les yeux baissés.

Job / Jb 22:30

He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

Hanafaka ny olona meloka Izy, eny, ny fahadiovan' ny tananao no hamonjena azy.

Ny olo-meloka aza hataony afaka, fa voavonjy amin' ny hadiovan' ny tananao izy.

Il délivre l' homme innocent : il sera délivré par la pureté de ses mains.
