Jer / Jr 5:1

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

Tetezo ny lalana ao Jerosalema, ka jereo, fotory; savao eny amin' ny kianjany raha sendra mahita olona iray ao hianareo, raha misy iray monja aza, mba manao ny rariny sy mitady ny hitsiny, dia hamindra fo amin' ny tanana aho.

Parcourez les rues de Jérusalem, regardez donc, renseignez-vous, cherchez sur ses places si vous découvrez un homme, un qui pratique le droit, qui recherche la vérité alors je pardonnerai à cette ville, dit Yahvé.

Jer / Jr 5:2

And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.

Jer / Jr 5:3

O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Jehovah ô, tsy mijery ny toe-panahy mahatoky va ny masonao? Namely azy Hianao, nefa tsy nahatsiaro naharary izy; Nandany azy Hianao, nefa tsy nety nino anatra izy; Nohamafisiny mihoatra noho ny harambato ny tarehiny, tsy nety niverina izy.

Ry Tompo o, tsy ny fo mahatoky va no tadiavin' ny masonao? Nikapoka azy hianao, fa tsy nalahelo izy; nandripaka azy hianao, fa tsy nety nino anatra izy; nohamafisiny mihoatra noho ny vatolampy ny tavany, tsy nety nibebaka izy.

N' est-ce pas la vérité que tes yeux veulent voir, Yahvé? Tu les as frappés : ils n' ont rien senti. Tu les as exterminés : ils ont refusé la leçon. Ils ont rendu leur visage plus dur que le roc, ils ont refusé de se convertir.

Jer / Jr 5:4

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

Ka dia hoy izaho: Olona ambany ireto; Adala izy fa tsy mahalala ny lalan' i Jehovah, na ny fitsipik' Andriamaniny;

Je me disais : "Ce ne sont que de pauvres gens, ils agissent follement parce qu' ils ne connaissent pas la voie de Yahvé ni le droit de leur Dieu.

Jer / Jr 5:5

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

Handeha ho any amin' ny lehibe aho lahy ka hiteny aminy, fa ireny dia mahalala ny lalan' i Jehovah sy ny fitsipik' Andriamaniny; Kanjo ireny koa aza dia samy efa nanapaka zioga sy nanito fatorana.

Ka ry zareo lehibe no halehako, ireo no hitenenako; Fa ireo no mahalala ny lalan' ny Tompo, sy ny lalan' ny Andriamaniny... Kanjo ireo koa, samy efa nanapaka jioga sy nanito fatorana avokoa!

J' irai donc vers les grands et je leur parlerai, car ils connaissent, eux, la voie de Yahvé et le droit de leur Dieu!" Or eux aussi ont brisé le joug, rompu les liens!

Jer / Jr 5:6

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

Koa noho izany dia mamely azy ny liona avy any an' ala, ary mandringana azy ny amboadia avy any an-efitra, ny leoparda miandry hamely ny tanànany, ka izay rehetra mivoaka avy ao dia viraviraina; Fa efa maro ny fahadisoany, ary fatratra ny fiodinany.

Noho izany ny liona avy any an' ala namely azy; ny amboadia avy any an' efitra mandringana azy; ny pantera mamitsaka eo anoloan' ny tananany, ka izay mivoaka avy ao voaviravira avokoa; satria efa maro ny hadisoany, ary efa betsaka ny fiodinany.

Voilà pourquoi le lion de la forêt les attaque, le loup des steppes les dévaste, la panthère est aux aguets devant leurs villes quiconque en sort est mis en pièces. C' est que leurs crimes sont nombreux, multiples leurs rébellions.

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.

Koa nahoana Aho no hamela ny helokao? Efa nahafoy Ahy ny zanakao ka efa nianiana tamin' izay tsy Andriamanitra; Efa nampianianiko izy, nefa nijangajanga ihany ka nirohitra niditra tao an-tranon' ny vehivavy janga.

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour' s wife.

Ce sont des chevaux repus et vagabonds, chacun hennit après la femme du voisin.

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Tsy hovaliako va izy amin' izany? hoy Jehovah; Ary tsy hialako fo va ny firenena toy izany?

Koa tsy hosaziko va izy amin' izany heloka izany! - teny marin' ny Tompo; ary izay firenena toy izany va tsy hovaliako?

Et je ne châtierais pas ces actions, oracle de Yahvé d' une nation comme celle-là je ne tirerais pas vengeance?

Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the Lord' s.

Miakara eo amin' ny mandany ianareo, ka mameleza, nefa aza dia levonina avokoa izy; Esory ny sakeliny, satria tsy an' i Jehovah izy.

Aniho ny mandany ka ravao, fa aza levonina avokoa; esory ny sakeliny, fa tsy an' ny Tompo ireny!

Escaladez ses terrasses! Détruisez! Mais ne l' exterminez pas complètement! Arrachez ses sarments, car ils n' appartiennent pas à Yahvé!

Jer / Jr 5:11

For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the Lord.

Fa efa nivadika tamiko mihitsy ny taranak' Isiraely sy ny taranak' i Joda, hoy Jehovah.

Satria efa nivadika tamiko, ny taranak' Israely sy ny taranak' i Joda, - teny marin' ny Tompo.

They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

Ny mpaminany dia hanjary rivotra, ary tsy ao am-pony Ilay miteny; Eny, izany no hanjo azy.

Ny mpaminany, rivotra foana, fa tsy misy miteny ao anatin' izy ireo: ka ny tenan' izy ireo ihany no aoka hozoin' izany.

Quant aux prophètes, ils ne sont que du vent et la parole n' est pas en eux; que leur arrive tout cela!"

Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

C' est pourquoi, ainsi parle Yahvé, le Dieu Sabaot Puisque vous avez parlé ainsi, moi je ferai de mes paroles un feu dans ta bouche, et de ce peuple du bois que ce feu dévorera.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the Lord: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

Indro, efa hitondra firenena avy lavitra Aho hamely anareo, ry taranak' Isiraely, hoy Jehovah, dia firenena mateza hery, Firenena hatry ny ela, Firenena izay tsy fantatrao ny fiteniny, ka tsy ho azonao izay lazainy.

Moi, j' amènerai sur vous de très loin une nation, maison d' Israël oracle de Yahvé. C' est une nation durable, c' est une nation très ancienne, une nation dont tu ne sais pas la langue et ne comprends pas ce qu' elle dit.

Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

Ny tranon-jana-tsipìkany dia tahaka ny fasana misokatra; Izy rehetra dia samy lehilahy mahery avokoa.

Son carquois est un sépulcre béant; c' est une nation de héros.

And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

Ary hohaniny ny vokatrao sy ny haninao, hohaniny ny zanakao-lahy sy ny zanakao-vavy, hohaniny ny ondry aman' osinao sy ny ombinao, hohaniny ny voalobokao sy ny aviavinao, sady horavany amin' ny sabatra ny tanàna mimanda izay itokianao.

Holaniny ny hanina amam-bokatrao; holaniny ny zanakao lahy aman-janakao vavy holaniny ny ondry aman' ombinao; holaniny ny voalobokao aman' aviavinao; horavany amin' ny sabatra ny tanananao mimanda izay nitokianao.

Elle dévorera ta moisson et ton pain, elle dévorera tes fils et tes filles, elle dévorera ton petit et ton gros bétail, elle dévorera ta vigne et ton figuier; par l'épée, elle viendra à bout de ces villes fortes en lesquelles tu mets ta confiance.

Nevertheless in those days, saith the Lord, I will not make a full end with you.

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your' s.

Et quand vous demanderez : "Pourquoi Yahvé, notre Dieu, nous a-t-il fait tout cela?" Tu leur répondras : "De même que vous m' avez abandonné pour servir en votre pays des dieux étrangers, de même vous servirez des étrangers en un pays qui n' est pas le vôtre."

Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

Faites cette annonce dans la maison de Jacob, proclamez-la dans Juda en ces termes

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

Henoy izao, ry firenena adala sady tsy manan-tsaina, izay mana-maso, fa tsy mahita, ary manan-tsofina, fa tsy mandre:

Henoinareo ary izao, ry firenena adala sy tsy misy fo, mana-maso izy fa tsy mahita; manan-tsofina fa tsy mandre!

Ecoutez donc ceci, peuple stupide et sans cervelle! Avec leurs yeux ils ne voient rien, avec leurs oreilles ils n' entendent rien.

Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

Izaho va tsy atahoranareo? hoy Jehovah; Tsy mangovitra va ianareo eo anatrehako, izay nanao ny fasika ho fefin' ny ranomasina, dia fetra mandrakizay tsy azony hihoarana? Ka na dia mitopatopa aza ny onjany, dia tsy mahavaky azy, ary na dia mirohondrohona aza, dia tsy mahahoatra azy.

Tsy hatahotra ahy va hianareo, - teny marin' ny Tompo; tsy hangovitra eo anatrehako va hianareo; Izaho no nanao ny fasika ho fefin' ny ranomasina, dia fefy mandrakizay tsy hihoarany! Mitopatopa ny onjany, fa tsy afaka izy; mirohondrohona izy, fa tsy afa-mihoatra azy.

Moi, ne me craindrez-vous pas? Oracle de Yahvé ne tremblerez-vous pas devant moi qui ai posé le sable pour limite à la mer, barrière éternelle qu' elle ne franchira point ses flots s' agitent, mais sont impuissants, ils mugissent, mais ne la franchissent pas.

But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

Fa ity firenena ity dia manana fo maditra sy miodina; Mihodina izy ka lasa,

Fa ity vahoaka ity manana fo maditra sy miodina; mihataka izy dia lasa.

Mais ce peuple possède un coeur dévoyé et rebelle; ils se sont dévoyés et ils s' en sont allés!

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Ary tsy manao anakampo akory hoe: Aoka isika hatahotra an' i Jehovah Andriamanitsika, izay mandatsaka ranonorana, dia ny loha-orana sy ny fara-orana amin' ny fotoany avy; Ary ireo herinandro voatendry ho amin' ny fararano dia tandremany ho antsika.

Fa tsy mba manao anakam-po hoe: Aoka isika hatahotra an' ny Tompo Andriamanitsika, izay mandatsaka ny ranonorana, dia ny loha-orana sy ny fara-orana, amin' ny fotoanany avy, sady mitandrina ho antsika ireo herinandro voatendry ho fararano.

Ils n' ont pas dit en leur coeur "Craignons donc Yahvé notre Dieu, qui donne la pluie, celle de l' automne et celle du printemps, selon son temps, et qui nous réserve des semaines fixes pour la moisson."

Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

Ny helokareo no nanakorontana izany filaminana izany; ny fahotanareo no nanala izany soa izany taminareo.

Vos fautes ont dérangé cet ordre, vos péchés ont écarté de vous ces biens.

For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Oui, il se trouve en mon peuple des malfaisants, ils guettent comme des oiseleurs à l' affût; ils posent des pièges et ils attrapent des hommes.

As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

Telle une cage pleine d' oiseaux, ainsi leurs maisons sont-elles pleines de rapines; de la sorte ils sont devenus importants et riches,

Jer / Jr 5:28

They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

mihamatavy mandimandina izy ireo. Mihoa-pampana amin' ny fanaovan-dratsy izy; tsy manao fitsarana marina, fitsarana marina ho an' ny kamboty... nefa ambinina ihany! tsy manome hitsiny ny mahantra.

ils sont gras, ils sont reluisants, ils ont même passé la mesure du mal ils ne respectent pas le droit, le droit des orphelins, pourtant ils réussissent! Ils n' ont pas rendu justice aux indigents,

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

Zava-betaveta sy mahatsiravina no atao amin' ny tany.

Des choses horribles, abominables, se passent dans ce pays

Jer / Jr 5:31

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Ny mpaminany maminany lainga, ny mpisorona : manapaka araka izay atoron' ireny, ary ny oloko mankasitraka izany; Koa hanao ahoana re ianareo any amparany?

Ny mpaminany, maminany lainga, ny mpisorona, mitondra araka izay sitrak' ireo mpaminany ireo; ary ny vahoakako mankasitraka izany! Ka inona no hataonareo hiafaran' izany rehetra izany!

Les prophètes prophétisent le mensonge, les prêtres font du profit. Et mon peuple aime cela! Mais que ferez-vous quand viendra la fin?
