And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes :

Eze / Ez 17:2

Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel;

Fils d' homme, propose une énigme et présente une parabole à la maison d' Israël.

Eze / Ez 17:3

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

Izao no lazain' ny Tompo Iaveh: Tonga tao Libàna ny voromahery lehibe, manana elatra lehibe, ka malalaka be ny fivelatry ny elany, ary rakotra volo samihafa soratra izy, ka nalainy ny tendron' ny sedera.

Tu diras : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Le grand aigle, aux grandes ailes, à l' envergure immense, couvert de plumes multicolores, vint au Liban et prit la cime du cèdre;

Eze / Ez 17:4

He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants.

Notsoahany ny rantsany avo indrindra, nentiny ho any amin' ny tany Kanaana anankiray, nataony tao an-tanànan' ny mpandranto anankiray.

il cueillit le plus haut de ses rameaux, l' emporta au pays des marchands et le déposa dans une ville de trafiquants.

Eze / Ez 17:5

He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree.

Nangalany koa ny voan-javatra tamin' ny tany ka namboleny tao amin' ny tany lonaka; nentiny ho eo amoron' ny rano be iny ka nataony araka ny fanao amin' ny hazomalahelo.

Rahefa izany dia nangalany koa ny zava-maniry tamin' ny tany nataony teo amin' ny tany lonaka, nataony teo amoron' ny rano be, namboleny toy ny famboly hazomalahelo.

Puis il prit une des semences du pays et la mit dans un champ préparé; au bord d' un cours d' eau abondant, il la mit comme un saule.

Eze / Ez 17:6

And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.

Dia naniry iny ka tonga voaloboka iva misandrahaka, mba hitodihan' ny rantsany ho eo aminy ary ny fakany ho ao ambaniny; ka dia tonga voaloboka izy ka nandrantsana sy nanaroka.

Naniry io, tonga foto-boaloboka nisandrahaka, ivaiva ihany, nitodika nankany amin' ilay voromahery ny rantsany, ary tao ambaniny koa ny fakany; tonga voaloboka izy, ka sady nanaroka no nandrantsana.

Elle poussa et devint une vigne féconde, de taille modeste, qui tourna ses branches vers l' aigle, alors que ses racines étaient sous elle. Elle devint une vigne, donna des tiges et poussa des sarments.

Eze / Ez 17:7

There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation.

Il y eut un autre grand aigle, aux grandes ailes, aux plumes abondantes. Et voici que cette vigne tendit ses racines vers lui et dirigea vers lui ses branches, pour qu' il l' arrosât, depuis le parterre où elle était plantée.

Eze / Ez 17:8

It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.

Voavoly tao amin' ny saha tsara teo amoron' ny rano be izy mba handrantsana sy hamoa ka ho voaloboka tsara indrindra.

Ny nambolena azy dia teo amin' ny tany tsara, amoron' ny rano be, mba handravina sy hamoa izy, ary ho tonga voaloboka tsara indrindra.

Dans un champ fertile, au bord d' un cours d' eau abondant, elle était plantée, pour pousser des branchages et porter du fruit, pour devenir une vigne magnifique.

Eze / Ez 17:9

Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.

Ataovinao hoe: Izao no lazain' i Jehovah Tompo: Ho vanona va izy? Tsy hongotana va ny fakany, ary hotazana ny voany, mba halazo izy? Halazo ny raviny rehetra, raha vao mitsimoka, ka na dia ny sandry mahery sy ny vahoaka betsaka aza tsy hahay mampaniry azy avy amin' ny fakany intsony.

Lazao hoe: Izao no lazain' ny Tompo Iaveh: Ho vanona va izy? Tsy hongotana va ny fakany, ka hahintsana koa ny voany, mba hahamaina azy? Halazo ny raviny tanora rehetra nitsimoka taminy. Tsy ilàna sandry mahery na olona maro akory ny hamongotra azy amin' ny fakany.

Dis : Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Réussira-t-elle ? L' aigle ne va-t-il pas arracher ses racines, ôter ses fruits, en sorte que sèchent toutes les feuilles nouvelles qu' elle poussera, sans qu' il soit besoin d' un bras puissant et d' un peuple nombreux pour l' enlever de ses racines ?

Eze / Ez 17:10

Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew.

Koa, indro, na dia voavoly aza izy, moa ho vanona va? Tsy halazo tokoa va izy, raha asian' ny rivotra avy any atsinanana? Eny, halazo eo amin' ny tany voafaritra naniriany izy.

Efa voavoly izy, fa moa ho vanona va? Tsy halazo va izy, raha vao tsofin' ny rivotra avy atsinanana? Halazo eo amin' ny kisahasaha naniriany izy.

La voici plantée, réussira-t-elle ? Au souffle du vent d' est, ne va-t-elle pas sécher ? Sur les parterres où elle a poussé, elle séchera!

Eze / Ez 17:11

Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes :

Eze / Ez 17:12

Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;

Lazao amin' ny taranaka maditra hoe: Tsy fantatrareo va ny hevitr' ireto zavatra ireto? Lazao aminy hoe: Indro, efa tonga tany Jerosalema ny mpanjakan' i Babylona ka naka ny mpanjaka sy ny mpanapaka tao, dia nitondra azy ho any aminy any Babylona.

Tsy fantatreo va ny hevitr' izany? Lazao hoe: Indro, tonga tany Jerosalema ny mpanjakan' i Babilona, ka naka ny mpanjakany amam-panapaka tao, dia nitondra azy ho any aminy any Babilona.

Parle à l' engeance de rebelles. Ne savez-vous pas ce que cela signifie ? Dis : Voici que le roi de Babylone est venu à Jérusalem : il en a enlevé le roi et les princes et les a emmenés chez lui, à Babylone.

Eze / Ez 17:13

And hath taken of the king' s seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath of him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land:

Ary naka ny anankiray tamin' ny taranaky ny mpanjaka izy, dia nanao fanekena taminy ka nampianiana azy, ary ny lehilahy mahery tamin' ny tany dia nentiny nandeha,

Rahefa izany dia naka ny anankiray tamin' ny taranak' andriana izy, ka nanao fanekena taminy sy nampianiana azy.

Il a pris un rejeton royal et a conclu alliance avec lui, il lui a fait prêter serment, après avoir enlevé les grands du pays,

Eze / Ez 17:14

That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping of his covenant it might stand.

mba hietry ny fanjakana ka tsy hiarina, mba hotandremana ny fanekeny ka haharitra.

Ny lehilahy mahery amin' ny tany dia efa nalainy hietren' ny fanjakana, tsy ho afa-miarina, ary hitana ny fanekeny mba haharitra.

pour que le royaume demeure modeste et sans ambition, et pour qu' il garde son alliance et la maintienne.

Eze / Ez 17:15

But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?

Fa niodina taminy izy ka naniraka olona hankany Egypta, mba hanome soavaly sy olona maro azy ireo. Moa hambinina va izy? Ho afa-mandositra va izay manao toy izany? Nivadika ny fanekena izy, ka ho afa-mandositra va?

Niodina tamin' io anefa izy, fa nandefa iraka tany Ejipta mba hanome soavaly sy olona maro azy. Ka hahomby va izy? Ho afa-mandositra va, izay nanao izany? Nivadi-panekena izy, ka ho afa-mandositra ve!

Mais ce prince s' est révolté contre lui, en envoyant des messagers en Égypte pour se faire donner des chevaux et des gens en grand nombre. Réussira-t-il ? S' en tirera-t-il, celui a fait cela ? Il a rompu l' alliance et il s' en tirerait ?

Eze / Ez 17:16

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.

Raha velona koa Aho, hoy Jehovah Tompo, dia any amin' ny tanin' ilay mpanjaka nampanjaka azy sady nampianiana azy nefa nohamavoiny ny fianianana, ary nivadihany ny fanekeny eny, any amin' io, any Babylona, no hahafatesany.

Velona aho, - teny marin' ny Tompo Iaveh: dia any amin' ny tanànan' ilay mpanjaka nampanjaka azy nanamavoany ny fihavanany, nivadihany fanekena, any amin' io any Babilona no hahafatesany.

Par ma vie, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé, je le jure : c' est dans le pays du roi qui l' a fait régner, lui dont il a méprisé le serment et rompu l' alliance, c' est en plein milieu de Babylone qu' il mourra.

Eze / Ez 17:17

Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:

Ary amin' ny hanandratan' ireo tovon-tany sy ny hanaovany tilikambo handringanana olona maro, dia tsy hanampy azy amin' ny ady akory Farao, na dia manana miaramila maro sy vahoaka betsaka aza.

Ary rahefa avy ny ady, ka hanandratana tovon-tany sy hanorenana manda handringanana olona maro dia tsy hiasa hanampy azy amin' ny tafika lehibe sy vahoaka maro Faraona.

Avec sa grande armée et ses troupes nombreuses, le Pharaon ne le sauvera pas par la guerre, lorsqu' on élèvera un remblai et qu' on construira des retranchements, pour détruire tant de vies humaines.

Eze / Ez 17:18

Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape.

Fa efa nanamavo ny fianianana izy tamin' ny nivadihany ny fanekena, fa he! efa nanolotra ny tànany izy, kanjo nanao izany rehetra izany ihany, dia tsy ho afa-mandositra izy.

Nanamavo ny fianianana izy, tamin' ny nivadihany ny fanekena, nefa efa nanolo-tànana; efa nanao izany rehetra izany izy, ka tsy ho afa-mandositra.

Il a méprisé le serment en rompant l' alliance, alors qu' il s'était engagé et avait fait tout cela : il ne s' en tirera pas.

Eze / Ez 17:19

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.

Koa izao no lazain' i Jehovah Tompo: Raha velona koa Aho, ny fampianianako izay nohamavoiny ary ny fanekeko izay nivadihany dia hatsingeriko ho eo an-dohany tokoa.

Ka izao no lazain' ny Tompo Iaveh: Velona aho, dia ny fianianana tamiko no nohamavoiny ary ny fanekeko no nivadihany, ka hantsingeriko eo an-dohany izany.

C' est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Par ma vie, je le jure : mon serment qu' il a méprisé, mon alliance qu' il a rompue, je les ferai retomber sur sa tête.

Eze / Ez 17:20

And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.

Ary ny fandrika haratoko dia hovelariko aminy, ka ho voan' ny fandriko izy, ary ho entiko any Babylona ka hotsaraiko any noho ny nivadihany tamiko.

Hovelariko eo amboniny ny fandrika haratoko, ka ho voa ao amin' ny haratoko izy; hoentiko any Babilona izy, ka hotsaraiko any, noho ny nivadihany fitokiana tamiko.

J'étendrai mon filet sur lui, il sera pris dans mon rets, je le mènerai à Babylone et je l' y punirai de l' infidélité qu' il a commise envers moi.

Eze / Ez 17:21

And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the Lord have spoken it.

Ary ny miaramilany rehetra izay afa-mandositra dia ho lavon' ny sabatra, ary izay sisa dia haely ho amin' ny rivotra rehetra, ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho Jehovah no niteny izany.

Ny mpandositra rehetra tamin' ny miaramilany rehetra ho lavon' ny sabatra; ary ny sisa kosa, haely amin' ny vazan-tany rehetra; dia ho fantatrareo fa izaho Iaveh no niteny.

Quant à toute son élite, parmi toutes ses troupes, elle tombera par l'épée, et les survivants seront éparpillés à tous les vents. Et vous saurez que moi, Yahvé, j' ai parlé.

Eze / Ez 17:22

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent:

Izao no lazain' i Jehovah Tompo: Izaho dia haka amin' ny rantsana avo indrindra amin' ny sedera avo, ka hamboleko izany; holaingosako ny tendron' ny laingony milenodenoka, ka hamboleko ao amin' ny tendrombohitra avo sy milangalanga izany.

Izao no lazain' ny Tompo Iaveh: Hangalako ny tendron' ny sedera avo, ka hamboleko; holaingosako ny sampany milenodenoka amin' ny loha rantsany, ka hamboleko eo an-tampon' ny tendrombohitra avo sy manerinerina.

Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé : Moi, je prendrai à la cime du grand cèdre, au plus haut de ses rameaux je cueillerai une jeune pousse et je la planterai moi-même sur une montagne élevée et altière.

Eze / Ez 17:23

In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

Ao amin' ny tendrombohitra avon' ny Isiraely no hamboleko azy; ary handrantsana sy hamoa izy ka ho tonga sedera tsara indrindra, ary ny vorona samy hafa rehetra hitoetra ao aminy; ao amin' ny alokaloky ny rantsany no hitoerany.

Eo amin' ny tendrombohitra avon' Israely no hamboleko azy; handrantsana sy hamoa izy, ary ho tonga sedera mahatalanjona honenan' izao fody amam-boromadinika rehetra izao eo amboniny, honenan' ny vorona rehetra eo amin' ny alokaloky ny rantsany.

Sur la haute montagne d' Israël je la planterai. Elle poussera des branchages, elle produira du fruit et deviendra un cèdre magnifique. Toutes sortes d' oiseaux habiteront sous lui, toutes sortes de volatiles reposeront à l' ombre de ses branches.

Eze / Ez 17:24

And all the trees of the field shall know that I the Lord have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the Lord have spoken and have done it.

Ary ho fantatry ny hazo rehetra any an-tsaha fa Izaho Jehovah no efa nanetry ny hazo avo ka nanandratra ny hazo iva ary nandazo ny hazo maitso ka nampaniry ny hazo maina; Izaho Jehovah no niteny sady nanao izany.

Ary ho fantatry ny hazo rehetra any an-tsaha, fa izaho Iaveh efa nanetry ny hazo avo, ary nanandratra ny hazo voaetry; nahamaina ny hazo maitso, ary nahamaitso ny hazo maina. Izaho Iaveh, no niteny, ary Izaho no hanatanteraka.

Et tous les arbres de la campagne sauront que c' est moi, Yahvé, qui abaisse l' arbre élevé et qui élève l' arbre abaissé, qui fais sécher l' arbre vert et fleurir l' arbre sec. Moi, Yahvé, j' ai dit et je fais.
