Ataovy am-bava ny anjomara, Fa misy, toy ny voromahery, hiantefa amin' ny tranon' ny Tompo!... Satria izy ireo nivadika ny fanekeko, sy nandika ny lalàko.

Embouche la trompette! Comme un aigle, le malheur fond sur la maison de Yahvé. Car ils ont transgressé mon alliance et ont été infidèles à ma Loi.

Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.

Izaho dia hitarainany hoe: Andriamanitro ô, izahay Isiraely mahalala Anao.

Mitaraina amiko izy hoe: Andriamanitro ô, efa nahalala anao izahay Israely.

Ils ont beau me crier : " Mon Dieu, nous te connaissons, nous Israël. "

Hos / Os 8:3

Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.

Ataon' ny Isiraely ho zavatra maharikoriko ny soa; Ny fahavalo no hanenjika azy.

Efa boboky ny soa anefa Israely; ka aoka henjehin' ny fahavalo izy!

Israël a rejeté le bien, l' ennemi le poursuivra.

They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

Ireny dia nanangana mpanjaka nefa tsy avy tamiko; Nifidy mpanapaka izy, nefa tsy fantatro; Ny volafotsiny sy ny volamenany no nataony sampiny mba hamongorana azy.

Fa izy ireo nanangam-panjaka, nefa tsy avy amiko; nanendry mpanapaka nefa tsy nahalala an' ireo aho; nanao sampy tamin' ny volafotsiny amam-bolamenany, mba hanalana aminy ny volafotsy amam-bolamena.

Ils ont fait des rois, mais sans mon aveu, ils ont fait des chefs, mais à mon insu. De leur argent et de leur or ils se sont fait des idoles, afin qu' elles soient supprimées.

Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?

Ton veau, Samarie, je le repousse! - ma colère s' est enflammée contre eux. Jusques à quand ne pourront-ils recouvrer l' innocence ? -

For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

Fa avy tamin' ny Isiraely koa izany; Ny mpiasa no nanao azy, ka dia tsy Andriamanitra izy, fa ho torotoro ilay ombilahy kelin' i Samaria.

Fa avy amin' Israely koa izy; mpanao taozavatra no nanamboatra azy, ka tsy Andriamanitra izy io; fa hotorotoroina ny zanak' ombin' i Samaria!

Car il vient d' Israël, c' est un artisan qui l' a fabriqué, lui, il n' est pas Dieu, lui. Oui, le veau de Samarie tombera en miettes.

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

Puisqu' ils sèment le vent, ils moissonneront la tempête : tige qui n' a pas d'épi, qui ne donne pas de farine; et si elle en donne, des étrangers l' engloutiront.

Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.

Voatelina Isiraely; Ankehitriny dia efa tonga tahaka ny fanaka tsy mahafinaritra izy any amin' ny jentilisa.

Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.

Ary na dia nanangy tany amin' ny jentilisa aza izy, dia hovoriko ankehitriny; Ary hihavitsy izy noho ny entan' ny mpanjakan' ireo mpanapaka.

Na manao fanatitra amin' ny firenena aza izy, dia hovoriko hamely azy ireny; ka hangozohozo izy, amin' ny fotoana fohifohy, tsindrian' ny entan' ny mpanjakan' ireo mpanapaka.

Qu' il s' en achète parmi les nations, maintenant je vais les rassembler et ils souffriront bientôt sous le fardeau du roi des princes.

Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.

I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

Na hanoratra lohateny arivo ho azy amin' ny lalàko aza aho, dia ho zavatra tsy mikasika azy no fijeriny an' izany.

Que pour lui j'écrive les mille préceptes de ma loi, on les tient pour une chose étrangère.

They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

Les sacrifices qu' ils m' offrent, ils les sacrifient, ils en mangent la viande, mais Yahvé ne les agrée pas. Maintenant, il va se souvenir de leur faute et châtier leurs péchés : ils retourneront, eux, en Égypte.

For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

Israël a oublié son auteur et il a bâti des palais; Juda a multiplié les villes fortes. Mais j' enverrai le feu dans ses villes, et il en dévorera les citadelles.
