And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

And said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father' s house have sinned.

aoka hihaino ny sofinao ary hihiratra ny masonao, mba hohenoinao ny vavaky ny mpanomponao, izay ataoko eto anatrehanao ankehitriny andro aman' alina ho an' ny Zanak' Isiraely mpanomponao sy izay anekeko ny fahotan' ny Zanak' Isiraely, izay efa nanotanay taminao; fa izaho sy ny mpianakavin-draiko dia samy efa nanota avokoa.

hanongilana ny sofinao sy hampahiratra ny masonao, hihaino ny vavaky ny mpanomponao izay ataoko aminao ankehitriny, andro aman' alina ho an' ny zanak' Israely mpanomponao, amim-piekena ny fahotan' ny zanak' Israely, dia izay nataony taminao; fa nanota izahay dia izaho sy ny fianakavian-draiko.

que ton oreille soit attentive, et tes yeux ouverts, pour écouter la prière de ton serviteur. Je te l' adresse maintenant, jour et nuit, pour les Israélites, tes serviteurs, et je confesse les péchés des Israélites que nous avons commis contre toi : moi-même et la maison de mon père, nous avons péché!

Neh / Ne 1:7

We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:

But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king' s cupbearer.

Koa mitaraina aminao aho, ry Jehovah ô, mihainoa ny fivavaky ny mpanomponao sy ny fivavaky ny mpanomponao rehetra izay faly amin' ny fahatahorana ny anaranao; ary hambinina anie ny mpanomponao anio, ary aoka hahazo famindram-po eo imason' io lehilahy io aho. Fa mpitondra kapoaky ny mpanjaka aho.

Endrey, ry Tompo, aoka hanongilan-tsofina amin' ny vavak' ity mpanomponao hianao, sy amin' ny vavak' ireo mpanomponao izay mankasitraka tokoa ny matahotra ny anaranao! Ho sitrakao anie ny hanambina ny mpanomponao anio, sy hampahita fitia azy eo imason' io lehilahy io. Mpandroso divain' ny mpanjaka aho fahizay.

Ah! Seigneur, que ton oreille soit attentive à la prière de ton serviteur, à la prière de tes serviteurs, qui se plaisent à craindre ton Nom. Je t' en supplie, accorde maintenant le succès à ton serviteur et obtiens-lui bon accueil devant cet homme." J'étais alors échanson du roi.
