Explanations in English An osier; a shrub, the leaves of which are used as a substitute for tea, also as a medicine for gonorrhea. By the Betsileo it is used for sprains or dislocations, the leaves being boiled and applied locally. It is also used by them for sores or wounds, the stem being scraped on the sore.
